Saints Finishing Season on High Note with Late Equalizer Against Central

ELLENSBURG, Wash. – After a loss in their final home game on Thursday, the Saint Martin's women's soccer team (3-8-7, 1-7-6 GNAC) was able to finish the season with a draw against Central Washington on Saturday night at Tomlinson Stadium. In the dying moments, senior Payton Aselton skated a ball across goal that Ravyn Mummey blasted first time into the bottom left corner to square the game at one each, which would be the final.

The Saints were the aggressors in the contest, firing more shots than CWU and the same amount of shots on target. Aselton led the way with four total shots while Taylor Copeland had three. Center back Jamine Biava had two fired on goal. Flavia Burrell kept the scoring low, allowing only a penalty kick goal and grabbing four saves.

The Saints graduate nine seniors in a historic year that saw new marks for the program throughout the fall. Head Coach Derek Faulkner's squad will have a few months off before the spring season is underway and the squad will look to prepare for 2024.
