PUEBLO, Colo. - The Saint Martin's University women's golf team recently competed in the Pack Classic at the Walking Stick Golf Course in Pueblo, Colorado. They finished 8th out of 15 teams, posting a team score of 615 (+39), shooting 314 in the first round and 301 in the second round. Ashley Bruland finished 9th with a score of 149, while Kelsie Inouye finished 12th with a score of 151. Kathryn Crimp finished 29th with a score of 155, Hannah White finished 54th with a score of 160, and Jada French finished 63rd with a score of 165.
Head Coach Anne Bahr was impressed with the team's play at Walking Stick and said, "We started strong in Round 1 and then continued that confident play into Round 2 posting a new team low of 301 on Monday. It was a true team effort this week and I'm very proud!"
Coach Bahr also praised Ashley Bruland's solid play and stated, "She closed with a 73 on Monday and earned the first top-10 finish of her collegiate career which was well-deserved."
The team had multiple players shoot their collegiate lows, with sophomore Hannah White shooting a 77 in Round 1. Coach Bahr was proud of her team, stating, "It's gratifying to see these breakthroughs, especially knowing how hard they've been working."
The team is hitting the road again next week to California and Arizona, and Coach Bahr is excited to continue the momentum and build on their play heading into the heart of their season. Overall, the Saint Martin's University women's golf team had a solid performance at the Pack Classic and is looking to improve in the upcoming matches.
