PORTLAND, OR — The Great Northwest Athletic Conference has named Saints senior goalkeeper
Flavia Burrell as the Defensive Player of the Week after an incredible two games at home last week.
Burrell has been the anchor for the Saints' defensive unit all season long, but it was never more apparent than this past week. The senior would record 21 saves across two games last week, with ten recorded against Seattle Pacific and 11 recorded against MSU-Billings in back-to-back full-game shutouts. Burrell has 59 total saves with an 85.5% save rate on the season, and these past two matches mark her fifth and sixth shutouts during her time at Saint Martin's. This is also Burrell's first-ever GNAC Player of the Week award. Read the GNAC's full Players of the Week release

Catch Burrell and the Women's Soccer team this Thursday at Saints Field at 1:00 PM as they take on Northwest Nazarene. Get tickets
