LACEY, WA — The Saint Martin's Men's Basketball team (6-0) took the court with energy and determination as they faced off against Douglas College.
Right from the tip-off, the Saints made their strategy clear: feed the ball to their powerhouse post player, 
Gavin Gilstrap. Gilstrap didn't disappoint, dominating the paint and racking up the Saints' first six points with ease. His commanding presence set the tone and got the home crowd buzzing. The Saints surged ahead with quick ball movement and relentless hustle, finding open shots and making fast transitions. The game stayed tight until standout guard 
Dae'Kwon Watson drained a three-pointer that electrified the fans and gave Saint Martin's an 11-5 edge.
The Saints played with grit, cohesion, and unwavering focus, showcasing what a well-prepared team looks like. They found their rhythm within the first five minutes and stuck to a winning formula. Shooting at an impressive 40% from beyond the arc and 51% overall from the field, the Saints had the hot hand. On the defensive end, they were relentless, holding Douglas College to a mere 26% shooting from the floor and 16% from three-point range. Watson's performance was electric, finishing with 17 points and snagging 3 steals that kept Douglas on their heels. 
Immanuel Oludele followed with a strong showing of 15 points and 8 rebounds, proving himself as a key player in both scoring and securing possession. The final score would be 110-36.
