LANGLEY, BRITISH COLUMBIA — The Saint Martin's Men's Basketball team (2-0) faced their second top-15 opponent in two days at the CCA Canadian Tip Off when they took on fifth-ranked Dallas Baptist.
SMU would struggle to score in the first seven minutes of game time as the DBU offense would jump ahead to an 11-0 lead early on.
Dyson Lighthall would finally get the Saints on the board with a layup and would go on to score 15 points throughout the game, along with contributing four boards and three blocks on the defensive end.
Jaden Nielsen-Skinner would chime in early with a few baskets, including the layup that would give the Saints their first lead of the game at 23-21 just six minutes after having no points.
Marcel Stevens would be the standout performer on the offensive side of the game, as the senior guard would end the game with a career-high 25 points on 53.8% (7/13) shooting from the three-point line and would add an assist and three rebounds to his stat-line by the end of the game.
