LEÓN, SPAIN — Saint Martin's University Men's Basketball standout Kyle Greeley has signed his first professional contract with Cultural y Deportiva Leonesa Baloncesto after an extremely impressive collegiate career.

Greeley will be taking his basketball talents overseas to Spain after signing a deal with the historic Cultural Leonesa club, where he will compete in the Segunda FEB. He will be coming off an incredibly productive college career with 1,297 career points and an average of almost 15 points-per-game over the course of three years. Kyle also racked up countless awards, including two First Team All-Conference selections from the GNAC, D2CCA and NABC Second Team West All-Region nods, and an appearance at the 2024 NABC Reese's Division II All-Star Game. He also tallied multiple Academic All-Conference and All-American awards as a Business Administration major. Kyle's accomplishments are a testament to his work ethic and determination, which will translate well in his professional basketball career.

Greeley transferred to Saint Martin's from Portland State in 2021 after spending a two years competing in the Big Sky Conference. He quickly acclimated to campus and grew close with his coaching staff, and reflects on his time at Saint Martin's University in a positive light:

"Saint Martin's will always be in my heart and my favorite memories have come from my time there. Coach Aaron Landon and Coach Tyler Velasquez have done an amazing job over the past three years to put me in a position to even make this possible. I'm very grateful to have played for them - we've put in a lot of hours of work together at Saint Martin's. Becoming a professional basketball player has been something I have been dreaming about and working towards since I was five. I'm very grateful for the SMU chapter and excited for this next chapter in life."

Coach Landon is excited for Greeley's professional career and thinks that he will thrive at the next level:

"We knew it was just a matter on time before some smart organization signed Kyle. His game will translate well because he can play multiple positions and his skill level is off the charts. He's going to have a great professional career, and I am really happy he'll get to begin this journey is such a wonderful place, he deserves it."

Greeley's season in Spain will begin on Saturday, October 5 and Saint Martin's Men's Basketball will be taking the court in November of 2024.
