2024 Bob Grisham Hall of Fame & Hall of Honor Inductees Announced

SMU Athletics will be honoring four individuals and a team as a part of the 2024 Bob Grisham Hall of Fame & Hall of Honor class.

LACEY, WA — Saint Martin's University Athletics is excited to announce the 2024 class of inductees for the Bob Grisham Hall of Fame & Hall of Honor, who will be honored during the 2025 Saint Martin's Homecoming Weekend.

Ken Garland  /  2024 Hall of Fame  /  Baseball, 2008-18
Ken Garland would bring Saint Martin's Baseball to new heights in his 10 seasons as the head coach. He would develop three All-Region selections, three GNAC Freshmen of the Year, and over 30 GNAC All-Conference players. Ken was named 2014 GNAC Coach of the Year and would lead the Saints to the GNAC Championships that same season.

Jamey Schoeneberg (Gelhar)  /  2024 Hall of Fame  /  Women's Basketball, 2006-10
Jamey spent four seasons with Saint Martin's Women's Basketball and established herself as one of the most precise scorers in school history. She would claim multiple school and conference records for free throws and three-point percentage and would be named an All-GNAC Honorable Mention in 2008-09 and 2009.

Chandler Tracy  /  2024 Hall of Fame  /  Baseball, 2012-15
In his four seasons as a Saint, Chandler would make a name for himself as an astounding offensive force. He would set Saint Martin's career records with 43 home runs and 267 total bases, along with picking up multiple Freshman of the Year awards, three First Team All-GNAC awards, and First Team All-West Region honors.

Mikel Hildebrandt  /  2024 Hall of Fame  /  Track & Field, 2015-17
Mikel would become one of Saint Martin's most accomplished athletes in history. He would be a two-time national champion in the high jump and named USTFCCCA's West Region Field Athlete of the Year in 2017. The six-time All-American also holds GNAC and school records for the indoor high jump (7-3.25ft) and outdoor mark (7-1ft).

1967-68 Men's Basketball Team  /  2024 Hall of Honor
The Saints would amass a 20-8 regular-season record in their 1967-68 campaign on the way to the program's first-ever berth to the NAIA Region One Championship game. The team, led by Head Coach Jerry Vermillion, would score 2,857 total points as a team, averaging 95.23 points per game and recording 100-plus points in over 14 contests.

Interim Athletic Director Theresa Hanson had the following to say about this year's inductees:

"This year's class encapsulates the spirit of Saint Martin's Athletics. We are thrilled to induct four exceptional individuals and a team who not only performed well in competition, but were also contributors to the wider Saint Martin's community during and after their time at this institution. We are excited to welcome them back to campus during Homecoming Weekend this year to give them the recognition they deserve."


The 2024 Bob Grisham Hall of Fame & Hall of Honor class will be honored on Homecoming weekend, with the official ceremony taking place on Saturday, March 1st, at 12:00 PM in the Worthington Conference Center.
