PORTLAND, Ore. — The Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC) released its 2024-25 Academic All-Sport Champions this summer, with Saint Martin's earning the top team GPA for men's basketball.

The Saints' combined team GPA of 3.56 topped all GNAC schools. The first-place academic finish is the first such honor for men's basketball since 2006-07, and comes in the wake of three consecutive years in which Saint Martin's finished second in team GPA.

The GNAC Academic Championship recognizes the conference's top-performing academic teams based on cumulative grade point average during each academic year. As a university, Saint Martin's finished fifth highest across all athletic departments in the 2024-25 All-Sports Awards standings. Saint Martin's also saw second-place GPA rankings for both Men's Golf (3.33) and Men's Soccer (3.44).

The Saints are set to kick off the 2025-26 season in just over a month, traveling to the GNAC-PacWest Conference Challenge in Hilo, Hawaii on Nov. 14-15. SMU will face Westmont on day one and Hawaii Hilo on day two.
