Men’s Basketball to conclude Hawaii trip against Hawaii Pacific, host home openers at Marcus Pavilion this week

The Saint Martin's Men's Basketball team is set for a busy week, facing Hawaii Pacific in Honolulu, Hawaii on Nov. 18, before hosting the team's 2025-26 opening weekend, in which the Saints will play Evergreen State on Nov. 22 and Douglas College on Nov. 23.

The Saints are coming off a stellar showing to open the season, going 2-0 at the GNAC-PacWest Conference Challenge with wins over Westmont and Hawaii Hilo.

SAINT NOTES

  • The Saints started the season 2-0 last weekend at the GNAC-PacWest Conference Challenge, defeating Westmont 96-88 and Hawaii Hilo 70-68.
    • Through two games, redshirt-sophomore Kaden Hansen led the way offensively for the Saints with 24.5 points per game off 41.2% shooting from the field and 45% shooting from three-point range.
    • Dae'Kwon Watson averaged 19.0 points per game through the first two SMU games, shooting 44% from the field and 41.2% from three-point range. Across the two wins, Watson totaled six steals, three assists, and eight rebounds.
  • During SMU's first two games, the Saints out-rebounded their opponents 94-63, averaging 47.0 rebounds per game.
    • Mark Clegg Jr. led the Saints in rebounding, grabbing 24 total rebounds across the two games. He totaled an even 12/12 split in offensive and defensive rebounding.
