Saints Women’s Basketball to host Point Loma Nazarene for 2025-26 home opener

The Saint Martin's Women's Basketball team is set to play its first home game of the 2025, hosting Point Loma Nazarene at 4 p.m. on Saturday, November 22 at Marcus Pavilion.

The Saints are coming off a productive trip to Hawaii, in which SMU went 2-0 in the GNAC-PacWest Challenge and nearly upset the University of Hawaii in an exhibition matchup.

  • The Saints are coming off the GNAC-PacWest Conference Challenge in Honolulu, Hawaii, in which the team went 2-0 with wins over Chaminade and Hawaii Pacific.
    • Across the two wins, Kiana Rios led the offensive efforts with 17.5 points per game. She added 6.5 rebounds per contest and shot 42.1% from the field. Rios recorded five steals in a well-rounded set of games.
    • Jada Travis averaged 13.0 points per game across the two victories, and led the Saints with 7.0 rebounds per game.
  • So far this season, the Saints hold a +5.6 turnover margin, and are averaging 14.6 points off turnovers per game.
  • SMU's 52.0 opponent points per game average is the best among GNAC schools entering the week.
