PORTLAND, Ore. — The Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC) today announced its 2025 Volleyball All-Conference teams, with Saint Martin's players Emily Garten and Hanna Ligons earning all-conference recognitions.
Garten, a junior from Placentia, California, led the way with a first-team All-GNAC nod. The recognition marked Garten's third time earning All-GNAC, after being selected to the All-GNAC Honorable Mention team the last two seasons.
Garten led the Saints with 324 kills, averaging 3.60 kills per set, which ranks third best in the GNAC. She also led the Saints and ranked fourth in the GNAC with 4.09 points per set. She finished the season with a .233 hitting percentage, and led the Saints with 31 service aces. Garten earned GNAC Offensive Player of the Week (9/15/25), helped the Saints earn GNAC Team of the Week (9/15/25), and was named Saint of the Week (9/15/25) during her junior season.
Ligons took the conference by storm during her freshman year, leading the GNAC with 1.49 blocks per set — her blocks per set average also ranked fifth in Division II this season. Ligons finished the season with 134 blocks and also recorded 91 kills. She earned GNAC Defensive Player of the Week (10/6/25), helped SMU earn GNAC Team of the Week (9/15/25), and was named Saint of the Week (10/6/25) during her freshman season.
