Men’s Soccer to host Western Washington and celebrate senior day at home against Simon Fraser

The Saint Martin's Men's Soccer team will host two games this week, facing Western Washington on Nov. 6 and Simon Fraser on Nov. 8 — the Saints will honor senior Paul Lopez before the game against the Red Leafs.

The Saints are coming off a narrow 2-1 loss at No. 24 Seattle Pacific last Saturday.

  • Sophomore Jonathan Wright was named Saint of the Week, after the defender notched a goal against Northwest Nazarene to mark three consecutive games with a goal scored.
  • Senior Paul Lopez will be honored pregame. The Duvall, Washington native has logged over 2,000 career minutes with the Saints and played in 50 games entering this week. Last week against Northwest Nazarene, Lopez recorded his first career game with both a goal and assist. Lopez ranks third in the GNAC entering this week with four assists.
  • Xander Koenig enters the week ranked seventh in the GNAC with 1.8 shots per game.
  • Goalkeeper Connor Leistiko leads the GNC with 73 saves and 4.56 saves per game.
