LACEY, Wash. — The Saint Martin's Men's Soccer team lost its 2025 finale at home against Simon Fraser by a score of 3-0 on Saturday, November 8.
After a scoreless 70 minutes, the Red Leafs picked up the offensive pressure at the end, handing the Saints a 3-0 loss to end the 2025 season.
How It Happened
- The first half was tightly contested, as the Saints were out shot by a narrow 6-4 margin. All four of SMU's shots in the first half were off target, but Connor Leistiko made three saves to keep the Red Leafs off the board.
- Within the first five minutes of the second half, the Saints tallied three shots. The game remained level until the 71st minute, when SFU's Ryan Torresan scored an unassisted goal to put Saint Martin's down 1-0.
- The Red Leafs doubled the lead to 2-0 with a goal by Koji Poon in the 83rd minute, and later sealed the game with another goal by Poon in the 88th.

- Soren Hanson led the Saints with three shots.
- Connor Leistiko recorded six saves, finishing the season with 91 — his 91 saves rank second all-time in the Saint Martin's record book for saves in a season. His 1,620 minutes played in goal this season is a program record for most goalkeeper minutes logged in a single season.
