SPOKANE, Wash. — The Saint Martin's Track & Field program opened the 2025-26 indoor season on Saturday, December 13, competing at the Spokane Invitational.
The Saints sent 11 male athletes and 10 female athletes to the meet, combined to log 20 career-best marks across the spread. In total, 25 schools competed at the Spokane Invitational — the Saints totaled six top-eight placements across the men's and women's competitions.
How It Happened
- Junior Makhi Odoms led the Saints with the top finish of the day, placing second in the men's triple jump with a jump of 14.14 meters (46-04.75). The mark is just 1.25 inches off Odoms' career-best jump.
- Charis Deitemeyer placed fifth in the 800 meters, clocking in at 2:43.74.
- Senior Ryan Doidge placed sixth out of 13 athletes in the men's pole vault invite, clearing 4.50 meters (14-09).
- Sophomore Taryn Wochnick placed eighth in the women's collegiate weight throw, logging a new career-best throw of 13.83 meters (45-04.5).
- Taylor Ames finished eighth in the women's 5,000 meters, clocking in at 22:04.28.
- Senior Olivia Mitchell placed eighth in the women's collegiate 600 meters, finishing at 2:02.8.
- In the men's 400 meters, sophomore Treyton Corpuz placed 15th with a time of 52.13, setting a new personal best.

The Saints will return to action in the 2026 calendar year, competing at the UW Preview in Seattle. The two-day meet starts on Jan. 16 and concludes on Jan. 17.
