Portland, Ore. — The Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC) today announced its Athletes of the Week for Dec. 8-14, with Saint Martin's junior Ronyo Obou earning Men's Basketball Player of the Week.

Obou recorded a historic outing in Saint Martin's 114-34 victory over Douglas College, scoring 40 points off 14-19 shooting from the field. His nine made three-pointers is a new single-game program record, and Obou's 40 points is the third-highest scoring effort in Saint Martin's Men's Basketball program history. It is the first 40-point performance by a Saint since the 2003 season. The 40 points scored by Ronyo Obou is the sixth-highest single-game scoring performance of any Division II player this season.

The GNAC Player of the Week honors marked the first time in Burland's career that she has earned the recognition.

The Saints are back in action this week closing out the 2025 calendar year, hosting Pacific on Dec. 14 and Pacific Lutheran on Dec. 16.
