GOODYEAR, Ariz. — The Saint Martin's Men's Golf team delivered what may be their strongest performance of the season at the RJGA Palm Valley Classic as the team approaches the postseason.

The team's overall effort was led by Gavin Klein, who fired a five-under-par across the tournament and was the first team member this season to shoot under par in all three tournament rounds. Head Coach Anne Bahr noted Klein's consistency and work ethic, which are helping him peak at the right time, saying that he has
"been steady all spring, and it was only a matter of time before he put it all together over a full tournament."

Klein's efforts landed him 14th place individually and a GNAC Player of the Week Award as the conference's lowest-scoring men's golfer that week. Davis Sheets would follow closely behind Klein, finishing with an impressive four-under-par to take 16th place, just behind his teammate. Rasmus Tamker would also have another good showing as the regular season closes, tying for 37th place and finishing even-par. Carter Sheets and Henry Sanders rounded out the lineup and helped them place 14th overall out of 19 teams.

The team stood out on their closing round, finishing with an even-par team effort of 288 that capped off a weekend of consistent, high-level play. Bahr mentioned, "It was the kind of performance I've been looking for from the team this spring," highlighting the group's steady progress.

The Saints will be back in action on Monday, April 21st, as they begin their stint at the GNAC Golf Championships to kick off postseason action. You can get more information here.
