GOODYEAR, Ariz. — The Saint Martin's Women's Golf team continued its impressive run following last month's team victory at Wigwam and victory in the South Puget Sound Cup with a 12th-place finish out of 22 teams at the RJGA Palm Valley Classic.

The Saints started the event out hot with a season-best first-round finish of 300 as a team. The strong start reflected a total team effort and set the tone early, with players feeding off the momentum. It was a huge confidence boost for the next round, with Head Coach Anne Bahr mentioning that it was the team's "best round of the year, and the group was excited and proud to come out so strong."

The Palm Valley course, known for hosting one of the largest and prestigious collegiate events of the year, was an exceptional challenge, but the Saints stood tall. With seven nationally-ranked teams in the mix, the squad held their own, finishing in the middle of the pack—a result that boosts confidence with the end of the season in sight. Individual performances were a highlight of the week, particularly for Ashley Bruland, who carded her collegiate-best score of even-par 72 in the first round to get her prepared for the postseason, and Coach Bahr praised the work she has put in, saying that "Her hard work she's been putting in as well as her knowledge of the course paid off."

Kelsie Inouye also continued her standout season, securing a 13th-place finish individually with an overall score of 145 and earning her second GNAC Player of the Week award this season. Hannah White, Jade Rebelo, and Hailey Blancas rounded out the lineup for the Saints, helping propel them up the standings as the tournament closed out.

The Saints will be back in action on Monday, April 21st, as they begin their stint at the GNAC Golf Championships to kick off postseason action. You can get more information here.
