PORTLAND, Ore. — The Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC) today announced its Volleyball Athletes of the Weeks for the week of Sept. 8-14, with Saint Martin's junior Emily Garten earning Offensive Player of the Week honors.

Across a 4-0 trip to Kingsville, Texas for the 2025 Javelina Volleyball Classic, Emily Garten led Saint Martin's offensive efforts with 5.08 kills per set. She totaled 61 kills across the 4-0 weekend. Garten also averaged .42 aces, 3.58 digs, 5.63 points, and .25 blocks per set.

The award is the second of Garten's career.

Through a stellar 7-1 start to the season for Saint Martin's Volleyball, Garten has led all GNAC players with 4.52 kills and 5.16 points per set. She also ranks third with .52 service aces per set and sixth with a .294 hitting percentage.

The Saints open GNAC play this week on the road at Western Oregon on Sept. 18, with the match set to begin at 7 p.m.
