Portland, Ore. — The Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC) today announced that Saint Martin's Volleyball is the GNAC Team of the Week for Sept. 8-14.
The Saints are off to an emphatic 7-1 start to the season under Head Coach Haley Domeck in her first year as SMU's coach. This past weekend, Saint Martin's recorded a dominant 4-0 performance at the 2025 Javelina Volleyball Classic — the Saints swept all four matches in three-set sweeps, stretching the team's winning streak to five consecutive games.
SMU's 7-1 start to the year is the program's best start to a season since 2022, when the team started 9-0.
Individually, the Saints have three players in the top 10 of the GNAC in hitting percentage so far this season: Zoey Crimin (3rd/.359), Kingsley Mason (5th/.301), and Emily Garten (6th/.294). Redshirt-sophomore Sophie Fast leads the GNAC with 10.64 assists per set, and Hanna Ligons ranks second in the conference with 1.64 blocks per set. Emily Garten leads the GNAC in both kills (4.52) and points (5.16) per set, while ranking third with .52 aces per set — she was named this week's GNAC Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week.
The Saints are back in action this week, traveling to face Western Oregon on Sept. 18 in the team's 2025 GNAC opener. The match is set to begin at 7 p.m.
