FERNDALE, Wash. — The Saint Martin's Cross Country team continued its season this Saturday in Ferndale at the 2025 Bill Roe Classic.
In the team standings, Saint Martin's finished sixth on the women's side with 142 points, while the men's team placed 10th with 244 points.
Kekaihulali Halpern was the top Saint Martin's finisher in the women's 6k, clocking in at 21:26.8 to place fifth overall out of 96 runners. In the men's 8k, Elijah Dale led the way for the Saints with a 25:29.9 to place 45th overall out of 146 athletes competing.
Samantha Schweppe was the next Saints finisher in the women's 6k, placing 34th with a time of 23:16.8. Margarita Mahei was the next women's finisher for Saint Martin's, finishing at 23:49.1 to place 47th. Kekaimalino Halpern (52nd/24:10.8) and Camila Romo (54th/24:17.7) rounded out the top five for the Saints.
In the men's 8k, Tyler Scott finished 63rd with a time of 26:01.3. Noe Ortega was the next Saint to cross the finish line, clocking in at 26:16.4 to place 74th. Jake Beck (78th/26:19.4) and Ethan Coon (81st/26:24.0) rounded out the SMU top five.
The Saints are back in action next on Oct. 18, competing at the George Oja Invitational in Independence, Oregon. The following weekend, SMU will compete at the GNAC Championships in Billings, Montana on Oct. 25.
