NAMPA, Idaho — The Saint Martin's Men's Basketball team was victorious over Northwest Nazarene on the road, 79-63, on Saturday, January 24.
Freshman Patrick Kilfoil had a stellar game, scoring 35 points off 61.1% shooting from the field. The win improved the Saints' record to 17-2 overall and 9-0 in GNAC play. The win is the 14th straight for Saint Martin's, extending the team's program record.
How It Happened
First Half
- The Saints built a 42-33 halftime lead behind an incredibly efficient offensive outing, going 14-25 (56%) from the field and 6-14 (42.9%) from three-point range.
- The Saints built an early lead, going up 17-7 with 14:22 left in the half.
- Saint Martin's continued to hold a steady advantage, leading 23-14 halfway through the half.
- In the final 10 minutes of the first half, the Nighthawks pushed back within five points at one point, before Saint Martin's went on a big run to go up 35-22 off a three-pointer by Pablo Navarro with 3:30 on the clock.

- Patrick Kilfoil later continued his hot streak, hitting a three to put the Saints back up 55-47 with 12:50 on the clock.
- With 10 minutes left in the game, the Saints held a narrow 57-53 lead.
- The Saints responded with a big run, as a three-pointer Patrick Kilfoil put Saint Martin's up 66-55 with 7:02 left in regulation.
- With 4:08, a pair of free-throws by Patrick Kilfoil capped off a 13-2 run and gave the Saints a 72-57 lead.

- Patrick Kilfoil led the way with a career-high 35 points, shooting 11-18 from the field and 6-11 from three-point range.
- Diego Trejo-Delgado totaled 24 points and seven rebounds.
