HAYWARD, Calif. — The Saint Martin's Baseball team won both its games against Cal State East Bay on Saturday, February 28.
The Saints saw a high offensive output, scoring six runs in game one and 12 in game two. The wins improved the Saints' record to 8-9 on the season.
Game 1: Saint Martin's 6, Cal State East Bay 3
- The Saints started off the game on a strong note, as Carson Dunn hit a solo home run on the second at-bat of the game, his second home run in two games against East Bay.
- Later in the second, Kelton Tom also sent one over the fence, this time scoring Dillon Andres and moving the Saints' lead to 3-0.
- The Pioneers added a run in the bottom of the third, but Blaze Wong pitched six quality innings, allowing just that one run and three hits, giving the Saints an advantage that ultimately prevailed through the final out.
- Up 3-1 in the top of the fifth, the Saints scored a run off a Carson Dunn sacrifice fly that scored Kyle Schabot.
- Just one inning later, Schabot singled to score Bransyn Hong and Evan Nicol, putting the Saints ahead 6-1.
- Cal State East Bay added one run in each of the eighth and ninth innings, but Caiden Schultz pitched the final three innings and secured the 6-3 victory, earning his second save of the season.

Game 2: Saint Martin's 12, Cal State East Bay 6
- The Pioneers took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first, doing so off an RBI double and throwing error that scored a run.
- The Saint bounced back tremendously one inning later, scoring five runs in the top of the second to take a 5-2 lead.
- In the top of the fourth, the Saints took a commanding 8-2 lead by adding three more runs.
- The Pioneers scored two runs in each of the fourth and fifth innings, but the Saints also added insurance runs, scoring two in the fifth off a two-RBI double from Kyle Schabot and two in the seventh by way of a two-RBI single from Dillon Andres.
