WAIPAHU, Hawaii — The Saint Martin's Baseball team lost both games of its doubleheader at Chaminade on Friday, February 6.
The Saints out hit the Silverswords in the first game and held a lead through five innings of game two, but ultimately suffered two defeats. The losses dropped the Saints' record to 2-5 on the year.
Game 1: Saint Martin's 2, Hawaii Pacific 4
- In game one, the Saints held a 10-8 advantage in hits, but fell behind 4-0 and were unable to come any closer than 4-2.
- Through the first four innings, the Saints tallied four hits, and Blaze Wong pitched a scoreless first three innings.
- The Silverswords added two runs in the bottom of the fourth, doing so off a walk with bases loaded and a fielder's choice that scored a runner.
- One inning later, Hawaii Pacific added two more runs off a sacrifice fly and RBI single, putting Saint Martin's behind 4-0.
- The Saints bounced back in the top of the sixth, with two singles to start the inning. Evan Nicol hit a sacrifice fly to score Carson Dunn, and Cole Yonamine later singled to left field to score Bransyn Hong.
- Saint Martin's saw hits in each of the next innings, but were unable to cut into the deficit and fell by a final score of 4-2.

Game 2: Saint Martin's 3, Hawaii Pacific 11
- The Silverswords scored the game's first run in the bottom of the second off a solo home run, putting the Saints behind 1-0. Saints starter Hudson Norman allowed only this run throughout the first five innings.
- The Saints chipped away and gained a 3-1 lead in the top of the sixth by scoring one run in the third, fourth, and sixth innings. Saint Martin's did so off an RBI single by Noah Albanese, an RBI single by Jackson Upton, and an RBI double by Kyle Schabot.
- Chaminade erupted for 10 runs in the bottom of the sixth inning — the rally started with an RBI triple and two-RBI home run that put Saint Martin's behind 4-3. An RBI single and two-RBI double continued the run and put the Saints behind 7-3. A grand slam by Chaminade later in the inning put the Saints behind 11-3, a score that held through the final out.
