PORTLAND, Ore. — The Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC) today announced its players of the week for the week of Feb. 2-8, with Saint Martin's senior Avery Oaster earning Women's Basketball Player of the Week honors.

Avery Oaster led the Saints across a 2-0 week that saw Saint Martin's notch its 10th GNAC victory of the season — Oaster averaged 16.5 points and 11.0 rebounds per game, doing so off 59.1% shooting from the field and 2-2 shooting from beyond the arc. She added three assists, three steals,and two blocks across the week's games.

So far this season, Oaster leads the Saints and ranks seventh in the GNAC with 7.3 rebounds per game. She is averaging 11.5 points per game.

The player of the week honors are the first in Oaster's career.

The Saints return to action this week, hosting Western Oregon at 3 p.m. on Feb. 14, with the team honoring Play4Kay.
