ALAMEDA, Calif. — The Saint Martin's Men's Golf team competed at the Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout this week in Alameda, California, competing against 18 teams over a two-day, three-round tournament.
The Saints placed 13th overall with a combined team score of +13. Saint Martin's hit even the first two rounds and +13 in the third round.
How It Happened
- Rasmus Tamker was the top golfer for the Saints, finishing even across the three-round tournament. Tanker hit -2 in the first round, -4 in the second round, and +6 in the final round. He placed 24th overall.
- Parker Sawatzky was the second finisher for the Saints, scoring a +1 final score. Sawatzky hit -2 in the first round, +2 in the second, and +1 in the third round. Sawatzky finished 28th out of 102 golfers
- Gavin Klein finished with a +4 final score to place 46th. He hit par in the first and third rounds and +4 in the second round.
- Henry Sanders placed 68th, hitting a +8. He hit +4 in the opening round, -2 in the second round, and +6 in the third round.
- Carter Sheets finished with a +17, hitting +4 in the first round, +5 in the second, and +8 in the final round.
