LACEY, Wash. — The Saint Martin's Baseball team went 1-3 in its home series against Central Washington on March 21-22 at Saints Baseball Field.
After losing both games on day one by a combined narrow margin of 9-6, the Saints bounced back on day two with a 15-run effort in game one that saw the Saints secure their first GNAC win of the season. The series moved the Saints' record to 9-22 on the season.
The Saints' 15-run performance in game three of the series marked the most runs scored in a game by Saint Martin's since April 12, 2024 against Montana State Billings
With the Saints' victory in game three, Head Coach Jacob Garsez tallied his 300th career victory.
Game 1: Saint Martin's 4, Central Washington 5
- After Central Washington scored the opening run in the top of the first, the Saints bounced back with two runs in the bottom of the third off an RBI single from Dillon Andres and a wild pitch that scored Noah Albanese.
- The Saints added another run in the bottom of the sixth, as Spencer Siegel reached on an error that scored Carson Dunn.
- After Central Washington scored in the first, the Saint Martin's pitching staff held the Wildcats scoreless for the ensuing six innings, as the Saints went into the eight leading 3-1.
- CWU capitalized off a three-run home run in the top of the eight, which put the Wildcats up 4-3. In the bottom of the inning, the Saints bounced back and tied the game at 4-4 with an RBI single from Kelton Tom.
- Central Washington scored the pivotal run in the top of the ninth off a sacrifice fly, and Saint Martin's was unable to make up any ground in the bottom of the ninth, falling by a final score of 5-4.

Game 2: Saint Martin's 2, Central Washington 4
- The second game saw early scoring, as a hit-by-pitch with the bases loaded put Central up 1-0 in the top of the first. Saint Martin's responded with two runs in the bottom of the inning, as Bransyn Hong tripled to score Evan Nicol and Alohi Arecchi, giving the Saints a 2-1 lead.
- After the Wildcats tied the game in the top of the second, the 2-2 scoreline held through until the seventh inning.
- A pivotal two-run home run by Central's Ethan Swenson put the Saints down 4-2 heading into the final frame. Saint Martin's was retired in order in the final frame, falling by a score of 4-2.

- Nikki Scott II pitched 6.0 innings, allowing two runs off six hits — he struck out three batters.
Game 3: Saint Martin's 15, Central Washington 4
- The Saints saw their highest run output in nearly two years, putting up 15 runs off 13 hits and tallying two separate five-run innings.
- After Central built an early 1-0 lead in the top of the first, the Saints responded with an emphatic five-run inning that saw the entire lineup hit — Saint Martin's drew four walks and capitalized off one RBI single, building up a 5-1 lead.
- Kyle Schabot scored on a passed ball in the bottom of the third, building the lead to 6-1.
- Blaze Wong was effective on the mound for the Saints, pitching a complete game and earning the win — after giving up a run in the first inning, Wong held the Wildcats scoreless through the ensuing four innings.
- CWU rallied for three runs in the top of the sixth, but Saint Martin's bounced back with five runs in the bottom of the inning to build an emphatic 11-4 advantage.
- The Saints saw five base hits in the inning.
- The Saints kept the momentum going through the final out, rattling off one run in the bottom of the seventh and three in the bottom of the eight, walking away with a 15-4 victory.

Game 4: Saint Martin's 5, Central Washington 1
- The Wildcats built a narrow 2-0 lead after the top of the fourth, tallying RBI singles in both the third and fourth innings.
- The Saints trimmed the deficit to 2-1 in the bottom of the fifth, as Noah Albanese flew out to right field and scored Brendan Haverlock.
- Saint Martin's was unable to make up any further ground, as the Wildcats added three additional runs in the top of the seventh to carry out a 5-1 victory.
