TACOMA, Wash. — The Saint Martin's Track & Field program competed admirably at the Peyton Shotwell Invitational in Tacoma, Washington on March 28.
As a team, the Saints saw 11 top-10 placements and 11 career-best marks.
How It Happened
- Zander Peck had a standout day, winning the men's javelin with a throw of 56.13 meters.
- He also placed third in the discus with a career-best throw of 42.58 meters.
- In the women's 400 meters, Kekaihulali Halpern placed third with a time of 59.98, which ranks tenth in the Saint Martin's program record book.
- In the women's discus, Janess Blackburn placed fourth with a throw of 40.81 meters.
- LaMarcus Hinton placed fourth in the men's triple jump, leaping 13.68 meters, which ranks fourth in the Saint Martin's record book.
- In the men's 110-meter hurdles, Hugh Ruttledge placed fourth with a career-best time of 15.54, which moves him up to third in the Saint Martin's record book.
- In the men's 400-meter hurdles, Reid Crumley placed fifth with a time of 58.47, which ranks tenth in the Saint Martin's record book.
- Zachary Mandlin took a sixth-place finish in the men's shot put with a mark of 12.75 meters.
- Zack Takeshita placed sixth in the men's pole vault, leaping 3.90 meters.
- Hakim Zongo recorded a sixth-place finish in the men's triple jump with a jump of 12.75 meters.
- Margarita Mahei placed ninth in the women's 400 meters, clocking in with a career-best time of 1:05.64.
