LACEY, Wash. — The Saint Martin's Softball team won three out of four games in its home series against Central Washington on April 11-12.
The Saints saw their record improve to 25-13 overall and 10-2 in GNAC play.
Game 1: Saint Martin's 5, Central Washington 4
- The Saints took a commanding 3-0 lead in the bottom of the first, as Saint Martin's loaded the bases and saw three runs scored on a double by Taylor Orgeles.
- The WIldcats bounced back and took the lead in the top of the third, rallying for four runs off two RBI singles and two RBI groundouts.
- Saint Martin's responded with a game-tying run in the bottom of the third, as Layla Royle hit into a fielder's choice that scored Eva Spencer to tie the game at 4-4.
- The following three innings were scoreless for both sides, as the Saints entered the bottom of the seventh with the game tied at 4-4.
- Kaylee Walker started off the inning with a single, before an infielding error allowed Amanda Peterson to reach first and Walker to move to second.
- Two at-bats later, Kaylee Walker stole third and managed to score off a throwing error by the catcher, giving the Saints a walkoff victory by a score of 5-4.

Game 2: Saint Martin's 9, Central Washington 4
- Game two started with each team exchanging runs through the first three innings, as the Saints scored one run in each of the first three innings to head into the fourth leading 3-2.
- In the bottom of the fourth, Shelby Lawson hit an RBI single and Kaylee Walker later hit a two-RBI single to put the Saints ahead 6-2
- Saint Martin's rallied three more runs in the bottom of the fifth to pull ahead 9-2. The Saints earned the runs off a wild pitch, sacrifice hit, and RBI single by Taylor Orgeles.
- The Wildcats added two runs in the top of the sixth, but the Saints limited any further scoring and won by a score of 9-4.

Game 3: Saint Martin's 2, Central Washington 6
- Central Washington got the scoring started in the top of the first, scoring three runs off a two-RBI single by Brooke Baker and an RBI single by LIzzy Turpen.
- The Saints added a run in the bottom of the first, as Kaylee Walker walked with the bases loaded to score Haley Agena.
- In the top of the fourth, Kayla Brusseau hit a sacrifice fly for the WIldcats to extend the lead to 4-1.
- The Saints tallied a run in the bottom of the sixth, as Heather Ebner singled to score Elissa Dewees and cut the deficit to 4-2.
- Central Washington added two runs in the top of the seventh off two RBI singles, putting Saint Martin's behind 6-2 heading into the bottom of the seventh.
- The Saints moved runners to first and second with one out, but were unable to cut into the CWU lead and fell by a final score of 6-2.

Game 4: Saint Martin's 15, Central Washington 7 (Six Innings)
- Game four was the highest scoring of the series, with Central Washington taking a 2-0 lead in the top of the second.
- In the bottom of the third, Saint Martin's tallied five runs, doing so off RBI hits from Taylor Orgeles and Jennessy Lopez.
- Central Washington bounced back in the top of the fourth with four runs, retaking a 6-5 lead.
- Saint Martin's saw its bats come alive in the ensuing innings, scoring three in the fourth off a home run from Heather Ebner and a two-RBI single by Jennessy Lopez.
- In the bottom of the fifth, the Saints capitalized off two RBI singles to pull ahead 11-6.
- After the Wildcats scored one run in the top of the sixth, the Saints rallied four runs in the bottom of the inning, with a two-RBI single by Jules Detrinidad ending the game in an eight-run victory for Saint Martin's.
