Saints Track & Field heads to Ellensburg for GNAC Outdoor Championships

The Saint Martin's Track & Field program is set to compete at the 2026 GNAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Ellensburg on May 4-5.

The Saints enter the postseason after a stellar showing at the Halsell & Vernacchia Invitational, in which Saint Martin's saw two new school records, six top-10 program marks, and 13 top-10 event placements.

Championship Information

SAINT NOTES

  • Ryan Doidge enters the GNAC Championships as the top-ranked men's pole vaulter with a mark of 4.95 meters, a school record he set earlier in the season. Doidge ranks fifth in the West Region and 38th in NCAA Division II.
  • Janess Blackburn heads to the championships off a stellar freshman season, ranking second in the women's discus with a school-record mark of 44.98 meters. She ranks 10th in the West Region. Blackburn also ranks eighth in the hammer throw with a mark of 47.29 meters.
  • In the men's hammer throw, Gage Pedro ranks second in the GNAC and NCAA West Region with a mark of 54.99 meters. He ranks 30th in the NCAA Division II standings.
  • Makhi Odoms ranks second in the GNAC in the men's long jump with a mark of 7.13 meters.
  • Zander Peck stands at fifth in the men's javelin rankings with a mark of 61.19 meters.
  • In the women's triple jump, Alyssa Duncan ranks sixth with a mark of 10.84 meters.
  • LaMarcus Hinton enters the championships ranked sixth in the men's triple jump with a score of 13.91 meters.
  • Kekaihulali Halpern enters the championships ranked seventh in the 1,500 meters with a time of 4:33.56. She ranks 11th in the women's 800 meters with a time of 2:12.76.
  • In the women's shot put, Alberta Samuelu ranks eighth with a throw of 12.45 meters.
