LACEY, Wash. — The Saint Martin's Softball team concluded the regular season this weekend in a home series against Simon Fraser, clinching the 2026 GNAC regular season championship title.
The Saints swept the Red Leafs across the four-game series, concluding the year with a record of 33-17 overall and 18-6 in GNAC play, clinching the top seed in the conference tournament. The regular season title is the third in program history and first since 2015.
Game 1: Saint Martin's 8, Simon Fraser 7 (8 Innings)
- Game one started back-and-forth, as the Saints carried a 3-2 lead through the first four innings.
- In the top of the sixth, Simon Fraser added three runs, before two more runs in the top of the seventh gave the Red Leafs a commanding 7-3 lead heading into the final half inning.
- The Saints rallied in the bottom of the seventh, as Kaylee Walker singled to score Shelby Lawson and Haley Agena to cut the deficit to 7-5.
- Taylor Oregeles singled to score Kaylee Walker, cutting the SFU lead to 7-6. Orgeles later scored on a wild pitch, tying the game at 7-7 and forcing extra innings.
- After Amanda Peterson kept the Red Leafs scoreless in the top of the eighth, Elissa Dewees hit a leadoff single and Haley Agena doubled on the ensuing at-bat, which saw Dewees round the bases and score the game-winning run.

Game 2: Saint Martin's 6, Simon Fraser 1
- The Saints got the scoring starting in the first inning, as an RBI double by Jennessy Lopez gave Saint Martin's a 1-0 lead after the first inning.
- The Red Leafs tied the game at 1-1 in the top of the third, but the Saints rallied five runs in the bottom of the inning to take a commanding 6-1 lead that held through the final out.
- Kayla Vaughan pitched a complete game, shutting out the Ref Leafs for the final four innings and securing the victory.

- Vaughan pitched 7.0 innings and struck out five batters, while allowing one run off five hits. She earned her 12th win of the season.
- Elissa Dewees went 3-3 with two RBIs and one run.
- Jennessy Lopez went 2-3 with one RBI.
- Layla Royle went 1-2 with two RBIs and one run scored.
Game 3 Saint Martin's 4, Simon Fraser 1
- Coming into the day with a one-game lead in the GNAC standings, a 4-1 victory for the Saints clinched the 2026 GNAC regular season title, as Western Oregon also defeated Western Washington in game three.
- Simon Fraser took a 1-0 lead in the top of the second in what was a low-scoring game, before that 1-0 deficit held through the first four innings.
- In the bottom of the fifth, the Saints rallied for three runs to go up 3-1. Heather Ebner doubled to score Shelby Lawson and Haley Agena, before Taylor Orgeles doubled to score Oliviana Trinidad.
- Bridget Johnon pitched a complete game and kept the Red Leafs scoreless in the final five innings, as the Saints added a run in the bottom of the sixth and carried out a 4-1 victory.

Game 4: Saint Martin's 5, Simon Fraser 1
- The Saints concluded the series with a victory to secure the sweep. Saint Martin's scored one run in each of the first three innings, before stretching the lead to 5-0 with two more runs in the bottom of the fourth.
- The Red Leafs added a run in the top of the fifth off a sacrifice fly, but Saint Martin's held off any further comeback efforts and carried out a 5-1 victory to conclude the regular season with a four-game sweep of Simon Fraser.
