LACEY, Wash. — Fresh off a 2-0 start to the 2026 season, the Saint Martin's Men's Soccer team has been named GNAC Men's Soccer Team of the Week, the conference announced today.
The Saints opened the 2026 season with a resounding 5-0 victory at home against Walla Walla, led by two goals and one assist from
Xander Koenig. On Saturday, Saint Martin's earned a hard-fought victory against Westmong, with
Jonathan Wright scoring the decisive goal in the 76th muinute, and goalkeeper
Connor Leistiko recording five saves in a clean sheet. Leistiko was named Saint of the Week and GNAC Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for his performances.
This week, the Saints head to California to face Stanislaus State at 7 p.m. on Sept. 3 and Chico State at 11:30 a.m. on Sept. 5
