LACEY, Wash. — The Saint Martin's Women's Basketball program today announced the hiring of Jamari Foster for the role of assistant women's basketball coach.

Foster earns the promotion from student assistant to full-time assistant coach after spending the last four years as an integral member of the program, serving as a practice player for his first two seasons and as a student assistant for the following two seasons.

"Jamari has been a part of the program since I arrived, and his commitment, loyalty, and work ethic have all earned him this opportunity," Saint Martin's Women's Basketball Head Coach Natalie Marlowe said. "I am grateful to have Jamari join the staff officially in a full-time capacity. His efforts for the last three years have reached far and beyond expectations along with invigoration for this upcoming season. Jamari holds a deep-rooted passion for helping others which align with our team's core values. I've had a front row seat to watching him grow year after year and could not be more excited to have him onboard for the year ahead. It was without hesitation that he was the person for the job."

During his time with Saint Martin's, Foster has played a pivotal role in assisting with scouting reports, recruiting, skill development, and working closely with the guards. Foster has balanced his undergraduate and postgraduate studies while committing countless hours to the Saints Women's Basketball program.

Foster graduated from Saint Martin's with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Adminsitration with a double concentration in economics and management. This past spring, he earned his Master of Business Administration from Saint Martin's with a health care concentration.
