Branden Bunn embarks on his first year of coaching in 2023-24 after leading Saint Martin’s to a GNAC Regular Season Championship and trip to the NCAA Tournament as a player in 2022-23. Bunn finished the season second on the team in scoring, and was voted GNAC Newcomer of the Year in 2023.

Coach Bunn will be involved in all aspects of the program, but will specifically focus on player development, oversee the staff’s recruiting database, and will coordinate community service engagement for the program

Branden Bunn is currently a student-teacher at Olympia High School, completing his final requirement to be certified as a History teacher. Branden will complete his Bachelor of Arts in Education with a Discipline of History at Saint Martin’s University this fall.

Originally from New York City, Bunn arrived in Olympia in 2018 to play for Aaron Landon and Tyler Velasquez as a freshman at South Puget Sound Community College. As a freshman in 2018-19 Bunn was on an SPSCC team that won the NWAC West Region Championship and set the SPSCC wins record (25). The following year Bunn was an All West-Region standout, graduating with an Associate in Arts Degree. Bunn transferred to Newman University in Wichita, Kansas, before transferring to Saint Martin’s for his senior season and to complete his degree.
