Hunter Sipe enters his second season as an assistant coach in 2024-25. A familiar face in Marcus Pavilion, Sipe returned to Saint Martin’s as an assistant coach following a decorated career as a Saint.
Sipe was a standout wing for Saint Martin’s in 2022-23, a banner year in which Sipe helped drive the Saints to a second consecutive GNAC Championship. Saint Martin’s finished the year with a 24-7 record, earning a #4 seed in the NCAA Tournament.
Hunter Sipe has tremendous familiarity with the Saint Martin’s coaching staff. In 2017-18 Sipe began his college career at South Puget Sound CC where he played for current Saints Head Coach Aaron Landon and Associate Head Coach Tyler Velasquez. Current Saint Martin’s assistant coach Wesley Reynolds was teammates with Sipe that season, a successful 23-8 campaign where SPSCC won an NWAC West Region Championship and reached the Elite 8.
During his five seasons of college basketball, Sipe was part of four conference championship teams. Sipe won two West Region Championships at SPSCC, a GSAC Championship in 2019-20 at Westmont College (CA), then returned home to win a GNAC title at Saint Martin’s in 2022-23.
Coach Sipe is a local product, graduating from Olympia High School in 2017. Sipe works full time as a Real Estate Agent for Coldwell Banker Evergreen Olympic Realty Inc.
