Giove will begin her ninth year as a coach with the women's soccer team here at SMU in 2015. She was also part of the coaching staff in 2006 before the program made the jump from club to collegiate. Giove will lead the women’s team this season.

Prior to her arrival she spent four years as the head soccer coach at Clover Park High School in Tacoma. Giove has been a teacher there since 1998.

She has experience coaching in the club ranks as well as ODP.  Giove worked with Washington ODP for five years and New Mexico for two years. She spent 10 years coaching at FC Royals and two years each with WPFC, FWSA and Albuquerque United. She currently holds a US Soccer “B” National Coaching license.

Giove received a master's in teaching from Grand Canyon and earned a bachelor's degree in physical education from the University of New Mexico in 1998 where she played collegiately for four years.

Her and her husband, Joe, have two children Dalton and Izzabella.
