Phoebe Schultz was named Saint Martin's Assistant Softball Coach on Friday, August 21, 2026.
Schultz joins the Saints after spending the last two years as assistant coach at Bellevue College, and had a successful four-year playing career at San Francisco State and Utah Tech.
"I am excited to have Phoebe on our coaching staff," Saint Martin's Head Coach Jim Peterson said. "She will be a welcomed addition to help elevate our softball program."
As assistant coach at Bellevue College, Schultz primarily focused on the development of outfield athletes, film and scouting analysis sessions, data and statistical analysis, operations responsibilities, recruiting, strength and training, and social media outreach. During her two seasons at Bellevue, the Bulldogs posted a 46-14 record in NWAC North Region play, made two postseason appearances, saw 14 all-conference selections, and coached four all-American winners.
As a player at San Francisco State, Schultz led the team in home runs and helped the Gators make its first postseason appearance in five seasons. Schultz earned the following honors during her career: CSC Academic All-District ('24), DII ADA Academic Achievement Award ('23, '24), CCAA All-Academic Award honoree ('23, '24), CCAA Spring Academic Honor Roll ('23, '24), NFCA All-America Scholar Athlete ('21, '22, '23, '24).
Schultz is a native of Snohomish, Washington and holds a Master of Education (Intercollegiate Athletic Leadership) from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Arts (Sociology) from San Francisco State University.
