Women's Soccer Lose To Simon Fraser On The Road

BURNABY, British Columbia, Canada - After two early goals for Simon Fraser, and despite five shots from Brittany Orlosky, the Clan defeated the Saints 8-0 in a match north of the border.

Simon Fraser (7-8-0, 5-6-0) struck just 33 seconds into the match on a goal that connected with a cross, 10 yards out before a foul on Saint Martin's (2-13-1, 2-8-1) in the box lead to a penatly goal in the sixth minute. Simon Fraser added one more goal before halftime to take a 3-0 lead into half. The Saints looked to get on the board with five shots in the first half, including three by Orlosky in the closing minutes of the half, with one landing on target. 

Simon Fraser quickly opened up a sizable lead in the second half, starting with a goal in the 50th minute, leading to five second half goals. Orlosky attempted two shots in the second half with one on goal along with shots from Kiersten Madsen, and Lauren Allison.

The Saints ended the match with 10 shots, five landing on target compared to the Clan's 18 shots, 12 on goal. Ali Koehler played all 90 minutes at keeper, recording four saves.
