Vulcans Stun Saints In Extra Time – An early goal by Jessica Moskowitz and a bend but never break defense by the Saints, looked like it would result in a victory. Hawaii Hilo had other ideas, scoring in the 86th minute to tie and 95th minute to stun SMU 2-1 in overtime. Moskowitz connected on her first goal of the season from 10 yards outside of the box, clearing the keeper's hands and hitting top shelf. Sara Christensen recorded eight first half saves and stopped the first 21 shots by Hawaii Hilo (4-1-2). The Vulcans' final two shots proved to be the difference makers, handing the Saints (4-6-0) their fifth straight loss.

Sarchett's Two Goals Lifts Saints To First GNAC Win – Back-to-back second half goals by Kylee Sarchett, along with a clean sheet performance by Ali Koehler was what the Saints needed to claim their first points of the conference, beating Montana State Billings 2-0 on the road. After a quiet first half, Sarchett broke the tie with her third goal of the season in the 68th minute, before quickly punching in the second of the match in the 69th minute. Koehler shut the door on the Yellowjackets (4-5-1, 1-4-0), recording six saves and shutout as Saint Martin's (5-6-0, 1-5-0) picked up their first conference win of the year.

Nighthawks Come Out On Top 2-0 Over Saints – The Saints applied pressure for a full 90 minutes against Northwest Nazarene; however, the Nighthawks managed to not only handle the pressure but left Lacey with a 2-0 win. Northwest Nazarene (7-4-1, 3-4-0) collected the first goal of the match in the 25th minute. The final blow came in the closing minutes, when a penalty kick was called on Saint Martin's resulting in the second goal. The Saints (5-7-0, 1-5-0) defensively collected nine saves, six from the keeper Ali Koehler and three by the team on 19 shots by Northwest Nazarene.

Kylee Sarchett Seeing Double – In both of the two matches Sarchett has found the back of the net, she has managed to punch in a second goal. In those two matches, the Saints have come out on top, knocking off The Evergreen State College in overtime 3-2 and Montana State Billings 2-0.

Saints Lighting Up The Scoreboard – Through the first five games, the Saints have scored 12 goals. In program history, the most goals scored in the first five games of the year was eight. After allowing a goal early to Corban, SMU has scored seven straight goals to start the campaign.

Madsen scored the equalizer against Corban before netting a penalty kick to cap off a 4-0 victory over Northwest Christian at home. Over the course of the two matches, Madsen recorded 11 shots, six landing on target, for a .545 SOG percentage. The award marked her first of the year and her first of her career.

Scoring Combo Madsen and McKnight – Through the first 13 goals, Kiersten Madsen and Shea McKnight had scored eight combined. Madsen scored the first goal of the year and her second came on a penalty kick versus Northwest Christian. McKnight put in the final goal against Corban and the first goal versus Northwest Christian and a third versus Evergreen State. Out of the 11, seven are homegrown from the state of Washington, with two from Hawaii, one from Oregon and one from Idaho.
