Saints Post Season Best Round In Hawaii

| By:
WAIKOLOA, Hawaii – The second round of the Dennis Rose Invitational proved to be the best round the Saints have posted all season long.

COMPLETE RESULTS

Hoku Nagamine (94-78-172) saw the largest improvement of any Saint this year from one round to the next, dropping 16 strokes off her game. Her score of 78 tied her with Madie Prigge for the best score on the day. Prigge (81-78-159) also saw an improvement in her game, going from 81 strokes to 78.

Katherine Swor (87-79-166) joined in the momentum, dropping eight strokes from 87 to 79 and placed third on the team in the round. Michaela Morris (75-80-155) continued to lead the Saints in the overall field, placing 24th overall. Closing out the scoring for the Saints was Kathryn Crimp (80-85-165); however, Crimp still sits third on the Saints' team leaderboard.

"Two things stood out today; the ability of Kathryn Swor and Hoku (Nagamine) to come back from yesterday's round," said head coach Bob Grisham. "Hoku posted a career best 78 and the consistent play of Madie (Prigge). This should help them see what we are capable of scoring on a consistent basis."

Saint Martin's (323-315-638) made up ground on the team leaderboard with their best round of the year, but continues to sit in ninth overall. The third and final round of the Dennis Rose Invitational is set to begin tomorrow, with results being posted after the round on smusaints.com.
