SEATTLE – The Saints were outpaced in their 5-0 loss by a Seattle Pacific team that has not lost a home game yet this season.
The Falcons (12-1-1, 9-1-1 GNAC) put the pressure on early with three shots on goal before scoring their first goal in the 12th minute of play. Saint Martin's (3-12-0, 2-9-0 GNAC) responded to the goal with a shot from
Taylor Goodpaster but the shot went wide of the goal. The remainder of the first half was a defensive battle as neither team scored and the first half ended, 1-0, in favor of Seattle Pacific.
SPU pulled away in the second half with two quick goals in the 56th minute of play. They scored two more goals late in the match to cement their win.
Daeh Lindquist had the lone shot on goal for the Saints and
Ali Campigotto had eight saves in the match.
