Jolley Scores First Career Goal In Loss To MSUB

BILLINGS, Mont. – Saint Martin's fell behind early to Montana State Billings on the road, and a second half goal proved to be too much for the Saints to overcome as they fell 2-1 on Saturday afternoon.

Haylee Gunter of Montana State Billings (7-7-3, 4-6-2) scored in the just the third minute to put her Yellowjackets on top early. The Saints' (3-13-0, 2-10-0) defense settled in after the goal, fending off 10 shots in the first half to keep the game within one goal.

It wasn't until the 66th was there more action, as Gunter notched her second goal of the match to give MSUB an insurance goal. Saint Martin's continued to fight throughout the match, recording six shots both halves, with four landing on target.

It was the Saints' final shot on goal that reached the back of the net when Jordyn Jolley scored off a corner from Taylor Goodpaster. The Yellowjackets failed to control the ball, and Jolley capitalized on the error, scoring her first career goal.

Ali Campigotto played a full 90 minutes in goal, recording seven more saves on 14 shots faced. Goodpaster recorded four of the Saints' 12 shots in the match, and four different Saints landed one shot on frame.

The Saints return home for their final homestand of the season. Action begins Thursday, November 4 at 2:00 PM as SMU hosts Simon Fraser. Live stats and video will be available on smusaints.com.
