LACEY, Wash. – The lone goal scored was the deciding factor in the match as the Saints fell at home against the now conference champion, Seattle Pacific.
In the first half, the two teams battled each other and the elements, as there was no shortage of rain. Scoring opportunities were hard to come by for Saint Martin's (3-13-0, 2-7-0 GNAC) and the Falcons (16-1-1, 12-1-1 GNAC), as the two teams held up the stalemate, 0-0 at the end of the first half.
The rain lightened up in the second half and the teams started finding lanes to attack each other. Seattle Pacific broke the tie with a goal off a rebound in the 71st minute of the match. The Saints had some opportunities to respond and tie the match but none proved successful as SPU won the match, 1-0.
