LACEY, Wash. – Saint Martin's offense was hot from start to finish as they cruised to a 99-81 win over Warner Pacific in their home opener.

Brett Reed led the way for the Saints (2-1) with 20 points on an efficient 10-12 from the field. SMU as a team shot a scorching 58% from the field and 56% from deep. Saint Martin's featured a balanced attack with six players reaching double-digits on the night.

Warner Pacific (2-2) and Saint Martin's traded the lead throughout the early minutes of the first half as both teams brought their best shooting efforts. Saints fans were treated to an offensive shootout as the Knights also were hot, shooting above 50% from the field and from deep.

With seven minutes left in the half, Goy Wang hit a three that jumpstarted a 13-4 run to break away from the Knights and give SMU a 45-39 lead. The Saints built on this momentum as Kyle Greeley hit a jumper just under the three minute mark to give them their largest lead of the half, 49-39. WPU responded with some points of their own to slim the lead down but Saint Martin's went into the break with a 52-45 lead.

Brett Reed got the scoring started for the Saints in the second half with a layup in traffic. Around the 13 minute mark SMU would go on a 10-3 run to push their lead up to, 75-61. From here the Saints never looked back and Adams capped it off with a monster putback dunk in the final minute to give the Saints their first home win of the season.

SMU's next game will be on the road against Cal State East Bay on November 24th at 4 PM.
