SPOKANE, Wash. – Andrew Boyd,
Cassidy Walchak-Sloan, and
Andrew Schulz led the way for the Saints finishing seventh, eighth and eighth in the 60 meter hurdles, the mile run and the high jump respectively.
FINAL RESULTS
Boyd ran his fastest time of the day in the preliminary for the 60m hurdles, running an 8.52 and coming in fourth place. He followed up this performance with a seventh place finish in the finals.
Walchak-Sloan ran a time of 5:13.03 in the mile run to land her an eighth place finish.
Andrew Schulz fouled his first attempt, landed at 6.50m in his second attempt, followed that up with a 6.33m in his fourth attempt and a 6.30m in his fifth attempt before landing his best of the meet at 21-ft 6.24-in.
In the qualifier for the 60m dash Schulz placed 10th,
Landon Armstrong placed 13th, and
Joshua Tanicala placed 19th.
In the women's pole vault Phoebe Young, passed on her 3m attempt, cleared 3.15m, 3.30m and 3.45m with ease. She failed her first two attempts at 3.53m before clearing it on her last attempt. She passed on her 3.60m attempt and failed to clear 3.66m, which gave her a 10th place finish at a height of 11-ft 7-in.
Micah Au-Haupu placed 10th in the shot put with a distance of 43-ft 6.5-in, which was produced on his first attempt.
The Saints will enjoy their winter break before preparing for their next meet, the University of Washington Indoor Preview on January 14th in Seattle.
