Saints Dismantle Geoducks For First Win

LACEY, Wash. – Saint Martin's entered their crosstown rivalry match-up against The Evergreen State College looking for their first goal of the year and came away with four.
 
Saint Martin's (1-3-0) broke the school record for most shots in a single match with 34, and 17 came on target in their first win of the 2021 campaign.
 
The action began in the 16th minute when SMU was awarded a PK on a handball in the box. Kiersten Madsen stepped up to drill home her first goal of the year. The Saints added to the lead in the 23rd minute on a goal from Daeh Lindquist, assisted by Rachel Kimura.
 
It wasn't until the 68th minute that Salma Perez extended the lead with her first goal in a Saints' uniform on a rebound from her own shot. Finally, Mia Fleming capped off the day with a ball from outside the box that floated over the keeper for the Saints' fourth goal.
 
Ali Campigotto and Soph Mendoza combined for the clean sheet, who both making one save in the game.
