BILLINGS, Mont. – The Saints offense caught fire at the end of the first game, scoring nine runs to route Montana State Billings 11-5 before falling in a pitcher's duel in game two, 2-0.
 
Saint Martin's jumped on the board quick, when 
Hunter Kosmider, who went 3-4, led off the inning with a single. Later Kosmider stole second, and reached third on a wild pitch, scored on a groundout by 
Reid Little.
 
Kosmider drove in the next run in the fifth inning, before the Yellowjackets got on the board with a run in the sixth inning. Saint Martin's added another two runs in the seventh on a balk, and another RBI from Kosmider.
 
Montana State Billings took the lead in the bottom of the seventh with a four-run frame. But the Saints once again responded with two runs in the seventh, and eighth before breaking open the lead with a five-run ninth to beat the Yellowjackets 11-5.
 
Finnley Butler pitched a quality start with 6.1 innings with four hits, allowing three runs, two earned with three strikeouts. 
Brock Wrolstad went the next 1.1 innings, before 
Aaron Nease got out of a bases-loaded jam in the eighth, and shutting the door in the ninth.
 
In the second game, the Saints were unable to find the same offense, going from 15 hits in the opener to one in the second. One pitch decided the game, with the Yellowjackets scoring on a two run home run in the second inning.
 
Saint Martin's loaded the bases in the fourth inning on three walks but left them loaded on a strikeout. 
Justice Yamashita went the distance once again, throwing six innings, with 11 strikeouts, a new career-best.
