BELLINGHAM, Wash. – The current record holder in men's long jump,
Josh Schulz, broke his own record for the second week in a row and the Saints recorded a total of 11 podium finishes at the Ralph Vernacchia Invitational.

J. Schulz won men's long jump with a distance of 7.40m (24-ft, 3.5-in), beating his previous record of 7.18m set last weekend. Behind him, his brother
Andrew Schulz finished fifth in the event with a distance of 6.71m (22-ft, 0.5-in).
Rudu Wani finished fourth in the men's 400m with a time of 53.89.
In the men's mile,
Miguel De LaMelena finished fifth with a time of 4:56.29.
Michael Harwell earned a third place finish in the men's 3000m steeplechase with a time of 10:03.59.
In the men's pole vault,
Andrew Alfred cleared 4.42m (14-ft, 6-in) on his first attempt to earn a third place finish in the event.
Micah Au-Haupu placed fourth in men's shot put with a mark of 14.71m (48-ft, 3.25-in).
The Saints were well represented in the men's hammer throw.
Josh Eiland finished second with a mark of 49.76m (163-ft, 3-in) and
Noa Peralta finished third with a mark of 48.65m (159-ft, 7-in). Francesco Reese finished fifth with a mark of 46.49m (152-ft, 6-in).
In the invitational women's 100m dash,
Maddy Vu finished third with a time of 12.95.
In the open women's 100m dash,
Gabriela Cintron won the event with a time of 13.46.
Olivia Cervantes won the women's 400m with a time of 1:06.33.
Eden Mortensen took home gold in the women's 400m hurdles with a time of 1:07.20 and placed fourth in women's high jump with a mark of 1:49m (4-ft, 10.5-in).
The combined team of
Maddy Vu,
Hannah Cook, Margret Zilla and
Gabriela Cintron placed third in the women's 4x100m relay with a time of 51.66.
Claire Skaggs placed fifth in women's pole vault with a mark of 3.40m (11-ft, 1.75-in).
In women's triple jump,
Madison Johnson placed fifth with a mark of 8.84m (29-ft).
Jocelyn Saribay earned silver in women's shot put with a mark of 12.82m (42-ft, 0.75-in).
The Saints next meet will be the GNAC Outdoor Championships held on May 2-3 & 13-14.
