Saints’ T&F Show Out at PLU Invitational

TACOMA, Wash. – Saint Martin's had a lot to celebrate at the PLU invitational as the Saints had a combined 17 podium finishes across various events on the day.
 
COMPLETE RESULTS
 
In the women's 100m, Cree Bell finished second with a time of 12.70 and Madison Vu ran a 13.14 for a fifth place finish.
 
On the men's side of the 100m, Landon Armstrong finished second with a 11.07.
 
Cintron won the women's 110m hurdles with a time of 15.82.
 
Andrew Boyd finished second in both  the men's 110m hurdles (15.54) and the men's 400m hurdles (57.63).
 
In the women's 800m, Cassidy Walchak-Sloan earned a second place finish with a time of 2:18.66.
 
Alisha Saucedo won the women's 1500m with a time of  5:07.49.
 
Sara Sabra won the women's 10000m with a time of 38:41.95 and Abby Burton finished third with a time of 46:05.55.
 
Jocelyn Saribay finished third in women's shot put with a distance of 11.54m (37-ft, 10.5-in) and  fifth in women's hammer throw with a distance of 36.88m (121-ft).
 
Micah Au-Haupu finished third in men's shot put with a distance of 13.86m (45-ft, 5.75-in) and fifth in men's discus throw with a distance of 38.48m (126-ft, 3-in).
 
Both of the Schulz brothers made the podium in men's long jump. Josh Schulz won the event with a distance of 6.88m (22-ft, 7-in) and Andrew Schulz placed third with a distance of 6.66m (21-ft, 10.25-in).
 
In men's pole vault, Andrew Alfred placed third with a height of 4.22m (13-ft, 10-in) that he cleared on his final attempt.
 
In men's hammer throw, Francesco Reese placed fourth with a distance of 43.34m (142-ft, 2-in) and Noa Peralta placed fifth with a distance of 43.07m (141-ft, 3-in).
 
In women's triple jump, Margaret Zilla placed third with a distance of 10.04m (32-ft, 11.25-in).
 
Josh Schulz finished second in men's triple jump with a distance of 13.23m (43-ft, 5-in).
 
In the men's 4x400m relay, the team of Rudu Wani, Isaac Cortes, Josh Schulz and Kainalu Pagente won the event with a time of 3:40.80
 
In the women's 4x400m relay, the combined efforts of Vu, Saucedo, Walchak-Sloan and Bell won the event with a time of 4:09.39.
 
Coach Scott Carter had this to say about his team and their performance, "I'm really happy with today, we had several event winners and many PB's. Our athletes executed and competed well across the board. We're looking forward to building off this performance at CWU."
 
The Saints will take a week off before heading to Ellensburg for the Wildcat Invitational on April 23rd.
