Joplin, MO – The coaches of the Saints XC teams are currently on their way to Joplin Missouri to support the one Saint to make it to the NCAA Championships Cassidy Walchak-Sloan

SMU left off two weeks ago on some with a lot to be proud of. The Saints women's team had great success over this season and Cassidy has personally had some great success and achievements. At the NCAA West Regional Championships Cassidy finished first for the Saints and 7th overall with a time of 21:00.9 improving from the previous year placing 15th. At the GNAC Championships Cassidy was the first one in for the Saints once again placing 6th and receiving All-GNAC Honors for placing in the top ten. At the Lewis Crossover in Illinois Cassidy had accomplished her seasons best with a time of 21:40 and her finishing 17th.

Cassidy has grown a lot over her time here at SMU and she continues to strive for more, this season has shown the improvement that Head Coach Matt Lowe is striving for during practice. The Saints are supporting and cheering for Cassidy as she prepares for her big race tomorrow.
