FOREST GROVE, Ore. – The Saint Martin's volleyball team (7-4, 1-1 GNAC) easily handled Pacific University (4-7, 0-2 GNAC) on Tuesday evening, winning in straight sets by a scored of 3-0 (25-12, 25-19, 25-13).
The Saints hit a grand total of .368 on the day, including a .438 mark in the dominating third set. Three different SMU attackers were in double-figures for kills led by
Emmy Hansen who had a total of 16, while
Sirena Peredo added 10 and so did
Emily Garten. Hansen also led the way in blocks with five, while Garten tallied three aces. Peredo was equally as proficient defensively with a staggering 16 digs on the outside to bring her another double-double on the season.
Karla Soto was dishing out assists left and right to finish with 46.
The Saints have Thursday off on GNAC play before a trip to Western Oregon (7-3, 1-1 GNAC) on Saturday. That start time is slated for 7 PM at the New PE Building in Monmouth.
